Amrita was born and raised in the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, and she moved to the UK after her marriage.
Amrita is passionate about showing people that Indian cuisine isn't just curries -- there is a world of delicious Indian dishes that she wants her students to discover. Her dishes are the types that wouldn't be found in high-street kitchens. She teaches real, authentic flavors with an ayurvedic approach.
She learned to cook from her mother and mother-in-law, and she finds cooking to be incredibly therapeutic. She has prior experience teaching cooking, having run the cooking school, Spice Club.
